What is PermitMonitor?

PermitMonitor is a service which helps excavators organise permits with their local government or roading authorities, if they are conducting work within a road corridor.

As a beforeUdig user, if you request plans via beforeUdig and the system picks up that you are conducting excavation activities within a road, footpath or road shoulder area, it may trigger a permit request if there are registered road corridor authorities in that area.

PermitMonitor is easy to use and can be accessed directly from your beforeUdig account. It allows you to track the progress of your permit application, and communicate with the road authority via relevant documentation and an inbuilt Messaging function. Once the permit is approved, you can update the road authority on the progress and completion of the work via PermitMonitor as well.
