What is reCAPTCHA?

reCAPTCHA is a service that has been introduced to protect beforeUdig from spam and abuse - with the ever-increasing cyber threats we have been forced to increase our defenses to be sure that we can continue to offer our service free of charge to all web users.

How does reCAPTCHA work?

reCAPTCHA uses an advanced risk analysis engine and adaptive CAPTCHAs to keep automated software from engaging in abusive activities. It does this while letting valid users pass through with ease. The reCAPTCHA feature is applicable to all users of beforeUdig irrespective of enquiry volumes submitted or frequency of use. As it forms an integral part of the application’s security it cannot be turned off.

Where will I notice reCAPTCHA?

When registering or submitting an enquiry, you will notice the reCAPTCHA tool at the bottom, normally it will appear as a small inactive blurb, or it may ask you to tick the "I'm not a robot" box:

How do I use reCAPTCHA?

If prompted,  you will need to click the "I'm not a robot" box.

Once reCAPTCHA is satisfied, the checkbox will show a green tick:

You can now click the Sign Up or Submit buttons on our website.
