How to lodge a beforeUdig enquiry

To lodge a new beforeUdig enquiry, log in and click the New Job button at the top right of the Home page:

Tip: If you cannot see this button after logging in, it is probably because your account needs validating. Please validate your account and then log in again.

First, fill out the Enquiry details of the work that you are doing. If you need assistance, there are help icons throughout the website where you can view further instructions, like in the examples below: For more detailed information, see our How to use the Enquiry Details screen article.

Once the Enquiry Details are filled out correctly, click Next to save your details and open the next sections of the form.

The option for locate or plans will show, if locate is selected plans will automatically be requested as well

At Step 4, you will be asked to search the Dig site location:

Here you need to search for the location you need plans for. You can search via Street address, Intersection or XY-Coordinates. After clicking Search, a map of the site will load. Use the drawing tools at the top right side of the map to designate your work area. For more detailed information see our Drawing your dig site article.

Once you have found your location and drawn the area on the map, click Submit. This will send the information to all utilities registered with our service, who will then respond directly to you with their records.
